This weekend it's just me and her. Daddy has a bachelor party to attend and we let him go away for the weekend. My mum is coming back after two weeks in Austria, so that should be fun. And work of course, since we are getting closer and closer to moving, many things have to be done.

Thursday was the first time I took Lilly to the city without Tom. We weren't alone though. My friend Lucia and her son Zachary joined us. (I wouldn't risk 20 mins of Lilly crying in the car without me with her at the back) We went mostly because of Lucia's doctors appointment, but couldn't resist an hour at the playground. Lilly loved it!

Lilly is proud to annouce.... her new chair!

Lilly has her 16 months appointment and shots on Thursday. I am NOT looking forward to it. Also, I am on this crazy diet, so I'm constantly hungry and depressed because of lack of sugar. I know I can stop, but it is day 8 out of 13, I'm gonna make it till the end. I hope it'll have promised effect though.

So I am two weeks late with this post, but yeah, I am a busy mom. Anyway, my girl is one! She is not a baby anymore (she never was, 5 minutes after she was born, she looked at me like "and what now mom? I want to go party!"), she is little miss. And she's amazing!

Lilly had actually two parties, but our battery in camera died right before the second one:( Both parties were success though. And yeah, I made that rainbow cake!:)

So we are done. At least Lilly is.

It started on Friday when I had to chase her to get her to the boob. She took two sips and was no longer interested. Saturday morning went without the feeding as well, so I've decided to give it a try and wean. She didn't even notice. So I guess it was a good thing. She knows what's best for her, right? I can't force her to drink. And our lives will be a bit easier.

I am really sad about it though. I feel like she doesn't need me that much anymore.

(A week and half ago, we were at the cottage. Lilly was sleeping somewhere else except home for the first time! And she did great:) And yeah, I completely forgot to post the pics. So here you go.)

Lilly weighs 7.88kg, she gained 1kg in two months! Doc was surprised. Little did he know she's eating more than me :D
I am not sure about height, I guess above 70cm
We switched to size 4 diapers!
Wears 6-9 months clothes, some 9-12
says mama, baba, tata, tries to say meow
waves good-bye, does "so big"
crawls like a champ, pulls herself up to almost everything, walks with support
eats like a pro, almost everything: baby food, fruits, yogurt, bread, potatoes, etc...
has 3 teeth, bottom two and top right.... the other one on the top is about to pop every minute now
naps once, sometimes twice a day, usually for about 1.5 hour
sleeps well in the night, but still wakes up several times
goes to sleep anytime between 8-10pm. Last night, she went at 10.30, I was so tired already and she wasn't. Oh well.
wakes up anytime between 6-7.30am. I am so glad we are out of 5AMs
she can play well with her toys while sitting on the ground, but most of the time she just crawls around and pulls herself up
tolerates well the baby carrier

cez deň spí dvakrát, niekedy len raz, väčšinou 1.5 hodiny
v noci spí dobre, ale aj tak sa ešte párkrát budí
ide spať medzi ôsmou a desiatou večer, včera išla o pol jedenástej. Ja som už bola hotová, ona mala plno energie.
Vstáva medzi šiestou a pol osmou, som rada, že to už nie je o piatej.
vie sa pekne hrať na zemi s hračkami, ale väčšinou lozí po izbe, na všetko vylieza a všelijak inak vymýšla.

a.k.a. Random thoughts formed to a decent blog post

I really wanted to blog about something. But I don't have much to say. Wait, that is not true. I have plenty to say, because you know me just a little, so I could easily choose random part of my life and write about it in a thousand words. But I always get the feeling, that when it is not so new for me, then it would be boring for you. Do you know that feeling? I know how fun it is to read about life of other people, I just don't think my life is that amazing/special. People always want to live the life of the others.

Instead of just neglecting my poor blog, here are some random things.

1. I am not a fashion victim. At least I think I have my own style. Do what you want, but I won't wear orange ever, even if it is the only color that's IN. I don't like flower print, royal blue, mustard yellow, etc. But sometimes, there is actually something I like and it's IN, though I hated it before.

Just like this handbag.

I hate brown color. I really do. But something tells me I have to have it!

2. Our house renovation is progressing greatly. I WILL do whole post about this one. But till I find the time to do that, I should at least fill you in.

We are moving to my grams' house this autumn (at least that's the plan). The house is huge and easily convertible to two separate apartments. We got the back of the house, that were the three bedrooms. Two of them are nearly done, rebuilt to our future bedroom, Lilly's room and little corridor that will be leading to the living room.

The third bedroom (and some additional space) will be turning into the living room, kitchen, bathroom and the toilet. That's all we need. The most important is we'll be living on our own!! And I will finally have my own kitchen? Mamas, can you cook in someone else's kitchen? I just can't I have a mental block or something.

The next one is TMI

3. I miss aunt Flo. Seriously. My daughter will be 9 months soon and I still don't have my period back. I guess I shouldn't complain, but how else can I be sure I am not pregnant? I am on birth control and everything, but that isn't 100%, right? And it has also low amount of hormones, because I am still breastfeeding. I guess I just have to wait for the bump, lol :D (FYI: I don't think I'm pregnant, I am just worried there's something wrong)

4. I have new hair color! It is BLACK. It was supposed to be dark brown and I believe it's gonna be washed out in a couple of weeks. For now, I look like this:

It is 10.15pm and I am beyond tired. My lovely daughter is growing up fast and the newest proof of that is, that her bed time went from 8pm to 9pm and later. So I have less and less time for myself. She still wakes up several times at night. And I am exhausted. I try to nap with her at least one time a day (she takes 2 naps), but day sleep is nothing like a night sleep.

I am just TIRED.

But, isn't it just worth it?

This morning we went to the park. It was so unusual, because my hubby never wakes up this early, except for the time when it is his turn to wake up with Lilly, but then I sleep in. So we went at 8am, so it wasn't so hot outside... yet. It was nice:)

Dnes ráno sme išli na prechádzku do parku. Bolo to nezvyčajné, lebo môj muž nikdy nevstáva takto skoro, keď nemusí. Okrem dní, keď on vstáva s Lilly, lenže to zas spím ja. Tak sme sa vybrali o ôsmej ráno, keď ešte nebolo tak horko. Bolo to fajn:)

still uses MIDI pampers

we have a crawler here! It is her newest fav thing, she crawls everywhere possible
she can sit on her own and she can sit up when crawling (I am pretty sure Mamas know what I mean)
she pulls herself up and I am so worried she might fall!! But what can I do, right?
she still has 2 teeth
naps 2 times a day, 1-2 hour each time
wake up time is 6am-7am and bed time is anywhere between 7-9pm
eats babyfood three times a day and recently started to eat bread
can say "mama" and probably knows what it means!
she wakes up several times during the night, but rarely wants to nurse. She just wants tea.
gives "bye-bye", but her hand is turned to herself, so it looks like "come on"
she can clap with one hand in fist, so it looks like "I'm gonna punch you" :D
she can be without me for 4-5 hours, it is mostly because of my driving lessons

stále sa dosť často budí, ale už málokedy chce mlieko, len čajík. Čo sa jej vôbec nečudujem v tomto horku, lebo mlieko má telesnú teplotu, že.
vie dávať pápá, ale ruku má otočenú k sebe, takže to vyzerá ako keby robila "no poď, poď!" XDDDDD
vie aj tlieskať, a to tak, že jednu ruku má normálne vystretú a jednu v päsť, takže to vyzerá ako "dám ti do držky" XDDD
učím ju vydržať dlhšie bezo mňa, tak 4-5 hodín, hlavne keď chodím do autoškoly alebo keď som bola na prijímačkách

EN: It is Flashback Friday and because I am in a good mood, I'll post two photos and you are gonna laugh your faces off. No, really, I looked horrible at 17. I had braces and the lowest self-esteem you've ever seen.

En: Where the heck has last week gone?! I felt like bloggin almost every day but never got to it... Sorry! My husband is graduating from University this year and he has his exam tomorrow!! So you can imagine what it is like in our household.... I try to be outside the house with Lilly as often as possible, so he has the time to study. I hope it will end tomorrow!!! Keep your fingers crossed:)

Ja sa snažím byť čo najviac mimo dom aj s Lilly, aby sa mohol učiť v klude. Dufam, že sa to zajtra nadobro skončí!!! Držte palce:)

EN: Lilly has first tooth!!! It is so exciting, because I've been waiting for this since she was like 3 months or something. I always told myself that the first tooth can pop whenever, because Napoleon had one when he was born :D :D :D So I kind of discovered it yesterday, but I wasn't sure if it was tooth or if she just hurt her gums. It looked weird... but today, it is obvious!! I can wait for her to be able to chew :D

SK: Lilly má prvý zúbok!!! Je to fakt super, lebo som na to čakala od kedy mala 3 mesiace alebo tak. Stále som si myslela, že ho bude mať skorej, lebo Napoleon mal zub už keď sa narodil, že XDDDD Som ho objavila už včera, ale som si nebola istá, že je to zub, lebo to vyzeralo skôr, že si poranila ďasná... Ale je to zub, dnes je to už jasne vidieť:) Už sa nemôžem dočkať, keď bude môcť žuť jedlo :D

So, teachers always taught us to never begin with "so". But we would never listen.

This blog is created as a new beginning after my previous blog meow-rules.net. The domain expires in October and I kind of don't want to waist any money anymore. What is the point, when I can simply post on blogspot, right? It is much easier and when I get tired of this address, I can always switch and don't have to worry about the money.
